Steph Curry Responds To A 9 Year Old Girl's Complaint About Shoes

Riley Morrison is a 9 year old girl who was about to start a new basketball season. Like most excited 9-year-olds, she wanted to start her season right with a new pair of the Curry 5's, Steph Curry's latest shoe brand. However, when her father, Chris went on the Under Armour website, he saw that the shoes were only under the Boys section.

After learning of this injustice, CBS News reports that Riley sent Steph Curry a letter asking him why the shoes weren't also being offered to girls.

In the letter, she talked about how she knew Curry supports women in the game and how "Girls play basketball too and it's not any more important for boys than girls".

Curry responded with a hand written letter of his own.

Curry writes about how he has been working with Under Armour for 2 days to fix the mistake.

He also writes, "I want to make sure you can wear my kicks proudly. So I am going to send you a pair of Curry 5's now and you'll be one of the first kids to get the Curry 6".

He also said that there was a special surprise on International Women's Day. Wait! That's today!

It was announced earlier that the Curry 6 will be released and Riley Morrison even had a hand in designing them herself. Riley has gone from not being able to buy a pair of her favorite shoes to designing them herself. This has definitely been an eventful International Women's Day for her.
