A 19-year-old inmate who escaped from custody Thursday has been captured.
Mario Tafoya was arrested in January for assault with a deadly weapon. He escaped from the West Valley Detention Center Thursday afternoon and was last seen running around barefoot near Etiwanda Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga.
Police, deputies and a K-9 team searched the area and found him at a San Bernardino home around 5:30 a.m. Friday.
