Jennifer Asbenson Shares Her Story Of Survival

Today the author of The Girl in the Treehouse: A Memoir, Jennifer Asbenson, came into the show today.

In her book, Jennifer talks about , who, at just 19, was raped, brutally tortured and nearly murdered by 8-time serial killer Andrew Urdiales in the California desert in 1992. She ultimately escaped from the trunk of his car. Jennifer Asbenson is that girl.

It is a story of winning against all odds, facing seemingly insurmountable demons and with indefatigable persistence, coming out the other side.growing up in a rough household and talks about how at just 19, she was raped, brutally tortured and nearly murdered by 8-time serial killer. She ultimately escaped from the trunk of his car and became the only one to do so from the killer.

Despite all the difficulties that she has faced, Jennifer says she has learned to rely on her belief in God, her sense of humor, and her imagination to overcome all challenges. She also says she hope her book will help empower others who have also been through trauma.
