Average Southland Gas Prices Drop Slightly

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped four-tenths of a cent today to $3.35 after being unchanged for two consecutive days.

The average price is a half-cent less than one week ago and 7.2 cents lower than one year ago but 4.9 cents more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price had not changed by more than one-tenth of a cent for six consecutive days before today. It has dropped 4.1 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped a half-cent today to $3.302, one day after rising one-tenth of a cent. It is 1.1 cents less than one week ago and 8.4 cents lower than one year ago but 2 cents more than one month ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped 4.7 cents since the start of the year.
