First of Two Storms Moves into Southland Tonight

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The first of two storms is set to move into the Southland tonight and bring rain throughout the weekend.

Up to two inches of rain could fall in parts of Southern California this weekend and residents can expect minor flooding and burn area debris flows, as well as slippery roads and possible delays at Los Angeles International Airport, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds of 20 to 40 mph also are forecast for this weekend, the NWS said.

Monday will be dry, but a second storm is forecast to bring moderate to heavy rain to the Southland Tuesday and Wednesday.

There is a threat of moderate debris flow and the possibility of flooded roads, the NWS said.
