Actress Selma Blair Speaks Out About Multiple Sclerosis Diagnosis

Selma Blair walked her first red carpet since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in August when she arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on Sunday.

The 46-year-old actress made her way down the carpet with the help of black cane and her friend, who had to help Selma wipe tears from her face. Tears of joy.

Selma recently sat down with Robin Roberts and discussed her diagnosis and her life since knowing she has the disease.

Surprisingly, she told GMA that the diagnosis brought tears of relief to her eyes. She finally knew what was wrong with her.

"Ever since my son was born, I was in an MS flare-up and didn't know, and I was giving it everything to seem normal."
"I was ashamed and I was doing the best I could and I was a great mother, but it was killing me. And so when I got the diagnosis I cried with some relief. Like, 'Oh, good, I'll be able to do something.'"
