L.A. County Average Gas Prices Rises For Sixth Time in Seven Days

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the sixth time in seven days, increasing a half-cent to $3.35.

The average price has risen 1.8 cents over the past seven days, including three-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose four consecutive days, was unchanged on Tuesday and resumed increasing on Wednesday.

The average price is 4.6 cents more than one month ago but 7.2 cents less than one year ago.

The Orange County average price was unchanged today at $3.315, one day after rising four-tenths of a cent. It is 1.7 cents more than one week ago and 4.2 cents higher than one month ago but 7.2 cents less than one year ago.
