L.A. County Average Gas Price Rises For Fifth Consecutive Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the fifth consecutive day, increasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.301.

The average price has risen 4.3 cents over the past five days, including three-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The increases follow an eight-day streak of decreases totaling 5 cents that dropped the average price to its lowest amount since Jan. 20, 2018.

The average price is 2.3 cents more than one week ago but 5.6 cents less than one month ago and 15.4 cents lower than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose four-tenths of a cent to $3.282, one day after decreasing one-tenth of a cent. It has risen four of the past five days, increasing 5.5 cents. The increases follow an eight-day streak of decreases totaling 5 cents that dropped the Orange County average price to its lowest amount since Jan. 20, 2018.

The Orange County average price is 3.8 cents more than one week ago but 3.4 cents less than one month ago and 14.6 cents lower than one year ago.
