Arizona Lawmaker Proposes Porn Tax to Fund Border Wall

A lawmaker in Arizona is suggesting a very unique way to raise funds for the border wall.

Sen. Gail Griffin has proposed a bill that would tax anyone viewing porn on an electronic device in the state, ABC 13 reports.

Talk about a fast way to raise a lot of money.

The bill suggests users would have to confirm they are an adult and pay a fee of at least $20 in order to access a porn website. A blocking software would prevent people from entering the sites and anyone who deactivates the blocker would face a misdemeanor charge.

Griffin has placed border security on the top of the list to be funded with the tax, which includes a border wall.Other things that could be funded include programs to prevent human trafficking, domestic violence, prostitution, child abuse and sexual assault.

The bill is not currently on any committee calendar for discussion.
