Citrus College, which is located at 1000 W Foothill Blvd in Glendora, did not provide details on what prompted the lock down, only that students who are not on campus should "stay away" and that anyone still on campus should "go to the nearest room, turn off the lights, lock door and remain quiet."
According to KCAL 9, a telephone threat is what prompted the lockdown at Citrus College.
Azusa Pacific also tweeted an alert, asking students on campus to shelter in place.
"The Glendora Police Department is actively investigating a threat of a shooting directed towards Citrus Community College," the school said in a statement.
