Sub-Freezing Temperatures Forecast for Antelope Valley

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A cold air mass will move into the Antelope Valley and drop temperatures into the mid-teens and lower 20s, beginning tonight and into Saturday morning.

The sub-freezing temperatures will be dangerous and potentially life- threatening for people who work or spend any significant time outdoors at night, according to the National Weather Service.

The cold conditions could cause exposed and underground pipes to freeze and burst if left unprotected, the weather service said.

Animals should be brought indoors or placed in a barn.
