Negotiations between Democrats, Republicans and the White House are at a stand still as the partial government shutdown continues on for another day.
About 420,000 federal workers have been left working without pay and another 380,000 have been furloughed.
Votes on a spending bill to reopen and fund the government aren't yet scheduled since President Donald Trump and Democrats have not reached an agreement on the $5 billion wanted for the border wall. The Senate is scheduled to be in session Thursday afternoon.
“I can’t tell you when the government is going to re-open,” Trump told reporters, adding that he will not sign any spending bill to end the crisis until “we have a wall, a fence, whatever they’d like to call it.”
When asked about the thousands of federal workers currently working without pay Trump told reporters, "These federal workers want the wall. The only one that doesn't want the wall are the Democrats."
