Water Main Ruptures in South Los Angeles, Streets Flooded

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A break in a 24-inch water main resulted in street flooding today in South Los Angeles.

The problem was reported about 5 a.m. at 55th Street and Towne Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

Crews were sent to fix the cast-iron water main, the LADWP reported. It was not immediately known how many customers were affected.
