President Donald Trump announced Wednesday the U.S. military will construct the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border "one way or another." He also seemed to take back threats to shut down the government if Congress fails to provide funds for the wall by the end of the week.
Trump also commented on his old claims that Mexico would pay for the wall's construction by noting a recently renegotiated trilateral trade agreement between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
The White House recently stated that it is looking elsewhere in the federal budget for money to go toward the wall but said it would wait and see how spending negotiations in Congress play out before making a final decision.
