When Hillary Clinton learned about an 8-year-old girl who lost her bid for class president, the former candidate penned a letter of encouragement to the third grader.
Martha Kennedy Morales, who has been declared vice president, lost by just one vote for the top class office in her Maryland school election.
In Clinton's letter, she writes:
"While I know you may have been disappointed that you did not win President, I am so proud of you for deciding to run in the first place...Know that I am cheering you on for a future of great success."
Speaking to CNN about the December 6th dated letter, the elementary schooler admits Clinton "really inspires" her, saying:
"It was really touching to know that Hillary Clinton herself sent me a letter."
