LA PUENTE (CNS) - Increased security will be in place at Nogales High School in La Puente today after a threat to shoot up the school was found on campus.

The message was written on concrete near the front of the school and read “(Expletive) everyone that call me ugly I will shoot up the school 12-17- 18.”

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Industry Station will provide additional security at the school, beginning today, according to Deputy Dangelo Robinson.

Parents received an email from school Principal Yousef Nasouf that said the incident was a reminder that if you see something, say something to school officials or authorities.

Classes have not been canceled, KCAL9 reported.
