LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police in Los Angeles continued their search today for a man they say never showed up with a truckload of beer he was hired to deliver.
Detectives were contacted last Friday by the owner of Turlock-based delivery company who said the person of interest, Jose Jesus Rodriguez, was hired to take a truck to Van Nuys to pick up a load of be, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The LAPD alleges Rodriguez “completed the pick-up of the beer, and never completed the delivery. Over the weekend the owner had numerous text messages sent by Rodriguez, but the semi-truck was still missing.”
Late last Sunday, detectives learned of the truck's location and it was recovered -- with its load of beer kegs inside -- in the West San Fernando Valley, according to the LAPD, which is seeking “any information that would assist in locating Rodriguez.”
He is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 200 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information about Rodriguez was urged to call LAPD Detective Joe Chavez at (213) 486-6940 or (818) 832-7510. Tipsters can also call the LAPD's 24-hour tipline at (877) LAPD-24-7 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
