LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Chargers tight end Antonio Gates has joined the list of celebrities whose Los Angeles-area homes have been burglarized, it was reported today.
Multiple suspects scaled a gate at the NFL veteran's San Fernando Valley home over the weekend when he was in Pittsburgh for a game and stole items from his garage, according to TMZ, which reported that Gates' children were at home at the time.
The suspects rummaged through Gates' high-end vehicles, one of them a Rolls-Royce, and took items, including a hoverboard, TMZ reported.
Police were reviewing surveillance video.
The Los Angeles Police Department has made numerous arrests of suspects amid a rash of residential burglaries that have targeted the homes of celebrities such as singer Rihanna, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig and Los Angeles Rams receiver Robert Woods.
Investigators who busted one burglary ring recovered a list of potential targets that included such public figures as Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and actors Matt Damon and Viola Davis.
