Police Shoot Dog That Attacked Victim in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police fatally shot a dog today that was attacking a person in downtown Los Angeles. Officers on patrol about 3:30 p.m. came upon the dog attacking someone in the area of Fifth and Crocker streets and an officer-involved shooting occurred, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Jeff Lee. 

The victim suffered facial bites, Lee said. 

The dog was killed and the victim was taken to a hospital, according to reports from the scene.
