Police Responding To Reports Of Shots Fired At Walter Reed Medical Center

There are reports that Montgomery County police are responding to an active shooter situation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland. Officials have said they have found no signs of an active shooter, but are working to clear each building on the hospital's campus.

According to NBC Washington, federal officials have said the incident was just a drill.

Maryland Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger tweeted that is inside the facility and is locked down in a conference room with 40 other people.

Dr. Lindsey Migliore shared a video showing a heavily armed SWAT team running across the campus of the medical center. She said that she did not hear gunshots and hopes that it was just a false alarm.

Inside Walter Reed right now after the active shooter announcement.  Was looking on Twitter for news and it's filled with people questioning the safety of their loved ones.  Building 19 in lockdown.  Haven't heard any shots.  Multiple agencies responding. Hopefully false alarm.

This is a breaking story....
