Southland Gas Prices Continue to Fall

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 15th consecutive day, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $3.787, its lowest amount since Sept. 29.

The average price has dropped 9 cents over the past 15 days, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 5.5 cents less than one week ago and 9.1 cents lower than one month ago but 49 cents more than one year ago. It has risen 63.7 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped today for the 14th consecutive day, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.731, its lowest amount since Sept. 29. It has decreased 9.2 cents over the past 14 days, including one-tenth of a cent on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 5.4 cents less than one week ago and 10 cents lower than one month ago but 45.5 cents more than one year ago. It has risen 61.5 cents since the start of the year.
