Boise and Reno Capitalizing on California Resident Exodus

Check out this article written by two Bloomberg authors who spoke to some former California residents and asked them why they decided to leave the troubled state. 

They touched on topics like schools, family-life, political views, and most importantly housing costs

The high taxes and housing prices make it difficult for many Californians to live a financially comfortable life. 

Cities such as Boise, Phoenix, and Reno have all been experiencing some of the biggest home-price gains in the country in result of this California real estate exodus. 

Only 26 percent of homebuyers in California can afford to purchase a median-price single-family house, according to the California Association of Realtors.
