President Trump, First Lady Visit Pittsburgh After Synagogue Shooting

US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, alongside Rabbi Jeffrey Myers, place stones and flowers on a memorial as they pay their respects at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania paid their respects to the 11 shooting victims of the massacre at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday (October 27). They lit 11 candles, one for each victim, inside of the vestibule of the synagogue, but could not go inside because it is still an active crime scene. They also placed a white stone and white rose on 11 Star of David memorials outside of the house of worship.

After paying their respects at the synagogue, the president and his entourage, which also included his daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, will head to the hospital to visit the victims who were injured during the mass shooting.

A group of demonstrators marched through the streets near the Tree of Life Synagogue with signs saying Trump is not welcome in the city until he denounces white nationalism.
