Scientists Spot Baby Octopuses Floating on Plastic in Coral Reef

Oh. My. Gosh. It's so cute and squishy I can't.

This little guy and one of his friends were found floating on plastic trash in a coral reef in Hawaii.

Scientists spotted them as they were cleaning up the trash in the reef and said they were the size of green peas. GREEN PEAS!! What small freaking cutie pies.

Marine ecologist Sallie Beavers of Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park said they were either day octopus or night octopus and can grow to 12 pounds as adults, with arm spans of 3 feet.

The octopuses were found months ago but the US Interior Department just recently shared the photos this week, bless their hearts.
