HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Former ``The Price is Right'' host Bob Barker was taken to a hospital this afternoon after waking up with severe back pain. Paramedics responded about 1 p.m. to Barker's Hollywood Hills home and took him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to TMZ, which reported that the 94-year-old was sitting up and responsive when wheeled on a stretcher into the hospital emergency room.
Barker's manager told TMZ that the animal welfare activist's family though it best for him to be taken to the hospital by professionals after he woke up with severe back pain.
Barker was injured in a fall near his home in October of 2015 and required stitches for a head laceration.
