Police Looking For Vandal Who Put Googly Eyes On Historic Statue

Googly-eyes- hilarious or harmful?

That's the question police are posing after a...uh....eye-popping crime.

Police in Savannah Georgia are looking for whoever put googly-eyes on one of the city's historic statues.

Officials shared photos of the statue of Revolutionary War general Nathanael Greene, saying "It may look funny but harming our historic monuments and public property is no laughing matter".

They say the statue was not damaged by the prank but the vandal is still guilty of criminal trespass.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage hoping to find the culprit.
