Little Change to Southland Gas Prices

gas prices remain steady after sharp increase in prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $3.882, one day after being unchanged.

The average price is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 21 cents higher than one month ago and 82.3 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 73.2 cents since the start of the year.

The average price has not changed by more than one-tenth of a cent for four consecutive days.

The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.831, one day after rising one-tenth of a cent. It is three-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 21.8 cents more than one month ago and 81 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has risen 71.5 cents since the start of the year.
