Steven Greenhut wrote a fantastic piece for The American Spectator about the real reason why California has horrible infrastructure.
He alleges the outsized power of California's public-employee unions is what is really behind the state's wretched road system.
As Greenhut puts it, "the governor and his allies always shortchange infrastructure funding as they spend wildly on new social programs, then issue an ultimatum to the state’s taxpayers: Raise taxes on yourself yet again or we won’t fix all those giant potholes."
Greenhut, senior fellow and Western region director of the R Street Institute, joined the show Monday with some more about the realities of Proposition 6.
