Harvard Discrimination Case Goes to Trial

A federal lawsuit goes to trial this week accusing Harvard University of discriminating against Asian-Americans during the enrollment process.

Students for Fair Admissions claims that Harvard takes part in "racial balancing" and rates Asian-American applicants lower than any other race.

Lee Cheng is a lawyer and is backing the lawsuit saying, "Harvard is systematically saying that Asian candidates are not likeable and don't have good personalities...which is nothing but racist."

The people who claim they were denied admission for being Asian-American will not testify because of the possibility of backlash.

Harvard says that almost a quarter of this year's class of freshmen are Asian-American and deny any wrongdoing.
