STUDIO CITY (CNS) - A McLaren sports car reportedly registered to the former host of BET's “106 & Park” crashed into a parking meter in Studio City early today and the occupants left the scene, according to authorities and a celebrity news website.
The crash was reported about 2:30 a.m. in the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to TMZ.com, the $200,000 sports car, which was totaled, was registered to Terrence Jenkins, who was a passenger, and was being driven by Jenkins' girlfriend Jasmine Sanders, neither of whom remained at the scene.
“Witnesses say Jasmine Sanders was behind the wheel and he was the passenger ... and they both took off after the wreck,” TMZ reported.
Jenkins, better known as Terrence J, was the host of BET's popular music video countdown show before becoming a co-host of “E! News." He also appeared in the films “Think Like a Man" and “Think Like a Man Too."
