VALLEY VILLAGE (CNS) - Authorities today arrested a man who barricaded himself in an apartment in the Valley Village area for about five hours.
Authorities went to the 12300 block of Riverside Drive about 3:30 a.m. in response to a report that the man had tried to force his way into an apartment, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The man then apparently barricaded himself inside his own apartment, and an occupant of that residence, apparently his roommate, got out safely, according to police and reports from the scene.
A SWAT team was sent to the scene, and the man was taken into custody without further incident about 8:30 a.m., police said. His name was not immediately released.
