Gunman Opens Fire Inside Cincinnati Office Building

Police shot and killed a gunman who opened fire inside of an office building in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The unidentified shooter entered the building through the loading dock, killing three employees and wounding two others as he made his way to the lobby.

Once the gunman got to the lobby, he was met by police and exchanged gunfire with officers. One of the cops hit the gunman and killed him. No officers were injured during the shootout.

One of the wounded individuals is in critical condition, while the other person is listed in serious condition at a local hospital.

Officials are not sure why the man attacked the office building and are continuing to investigate the shooting, which occurred near Fountain Square, a popular area with many bars and restaurants. The building he attacked was the corporate headquarters of the Fifth Third Bank.

Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley called the shooting “horrific” during a press conference.

"There's something deeply sick at work here and we as a country need to work on it," he said.
