Southland Gas Prices Rise Again

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the ninth time in 10 days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.662.

The average price is 3 cents more than one week ago, 2 cents higher than one month ago and 49.7 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 51.2 cents since the start of the year.

The average price rose seven consecutive days, was unchanged Monday and resumed increasing Tuesday.

The Orange County average price rose for the eighth consecutive day, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.606. It is 3.7 cents more than one week ago, 2.6 cents higher than one month ago and 45.9 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 49 cents since the start of the year.
