Police in Glendale are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they say was caught on cell phone video touching himself near a children's play area at Pacific Park in Glendale.
The incident happened on August 17th around 2:45pm. A woman in the park with her child saw the man behaving oddly and started taking video on her cell phone.
In the video, the man is seen standing near a gate talking on his cell phone and apparently touching himself while children played nearby.
Sgt. Dan Suttles of the Glendale Police Department told KTLA it didn't appear from the video that the subject was scratching himself .
"He appears to be very deliberately touching himself in a way that would be sexually gratifying, and that is what is actually concerning ... when somebody does something of that nature, specifically when they’re doing it directly outside of a school and literally within feet of children,"
According to the Glendale Police Department press release:
"The man is between 30-40 years old with black hair and beard with a 'medium' build. He left the scene in a dark colored 2018 Toyota Camry.
Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Detective Michael Mercado at 818-548-3106."
