California's Battle with Climate Change

A Fox and Hounds opinion piece states that California is following suit to Germany, who stepped up as a leader in climate change. 

However, Germany is failing to meet its climate goals of reducing harmful carbon-dioxide emissions.

Part of California's "failure" is its effort to use renewable resources, which comes at a high cost. California households are reportedly paying about 40 percent more than the national average for electricity.

A San Francisco Chronicle article published Monday is now also saying that California will see 77 percent more land burned annually due to climate change. After this year's deadly wildfire season there is sure to be more opinion pieces and climate change articles pushed out weekly.
