SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 21-year-old man was charged today with sexually assaulting an underage relative for two years in Santa Ana, starting when the boy was 10.
Carlos Junior Manzo is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 2 on five counts of sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 or younger and five counts of lewd acts with a minor younger than 14. The alleged attacks date back to September 2015, according to court records.
The boy confided in other family members, who called police, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
During questioning, Manzo made ``incriminating statements,'' leading to his arrest on Tuesday, Bertagna said. Manzo was being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
