L.A. County Gas Price Drops For Fifth Consecutive Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent today to $3.663, the fifth consecutive decrease after rising eight-tenths of a cent the previous two days.

The average price has dropped 1.3 cents over the past five days, including three-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is a half-cent less than one week ago and 5.9 cents lower than one month ago but 75.6 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 51.3 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $3.605, the fourth decrease in five days. It is a half-cent less than one week ago and 7.8 cents lower than one month ago but 73.7 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 48.9 cents since the start of the year.
