Investigation Into Weeping Virgin Mary Statue Continues

A sculpture of the Virgin Mary appeared to be crying at a church in New Mexico and it's now been determined her tears were olive oil.

The tears have been seen by thousands since first appearing in May streaming down the face of the statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe in the Catholic chapel in Hobbs.

Bishop Oscar Cantú said no one has yet to figure out just how the scented olive oil is getting inside the hollow statue.

While one can argue it's a miracle...we're going to go with interesting new way to flavor those communion wafers.
