Police Seek Woman Who Stole Manicurist's Rings

STUDIO CITY (CNS) - Police today released images of a woman who stole an esthetician's wedding and engagement rings while getting service at a Studio City business.

The theft occurred about 4 p.m. on June 20 in the 12100 block of Ventura Boulevard, near Laurel Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect entered the business to get a manicure and pedicure and as she was receiving the treatment she took the rings from a side tray, concealed them in her purse and then left after paying for her services, police said.

The suspect is described as Asian, in her mid-20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, around 120 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black dress with a floral design and brown wedge heels.

Anyone with information about the suspect was urged to call (818) 754- 8377 to speak with North Hollywood theft Detective Joseph Hampton.
