Murder Investigation on 210 Freeway Underway

A murder investigation is underway on one of Southern California's busiest freeways. A person on a motorcycle reportedly died last night just before 4 a.m. on the eastbound side of 210 and 215 interchange in San Bernardino.

Authorities say when they arrived for a motorcyclist down call, they discovered two men lying in the center divider with gunshot wounds.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene with the other man being rushed to a hospital in Colton. There was no word on his condition.

The eastbound 210 Freeway at the 215 interchange was shut down while police investigated the fatal shooting. All westbound lanes were reopened just after 6 a.m. Friday morning.

San Bernardino police said on Twitter they hope to have the eastbound lanes of the 210 re-opened by 10:30 a.m. and until then are asking commuters to take an alternate route if possible.
