PICO RIVERA (CNS) - Authorities today identified a young man who was fatally shot in Pico Rivera.
Deputies sent to the 7100 block of Pico Vista Road about 9:30 p.m. Thursday on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon found the mortally wounded man, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Information Bureau.
Manuel Jacobo, 22, of Pico Rivera died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner's office reported. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound to the torso, Schrader said.
A description of the suspect or suspects was not available and no weapon was recovered. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
