Roseanne Speaks for the First Time Since Losing ABC Sitcom

Roseanne Barr is speaking out on the controversy swirling around a racially charged tweet that led to the cancellation of her rebooted sitcom.

She spoke with her friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach last month about her firing...she tweeted about the interview yesterday saying it happened the day after she was axed.

In the interview, Barr is in tears apologizing for her words...

"I'm a lot of things, a loud mouth and all that stuff. But I'm not stupid for God's sake. I never would have wittingly called any black person, [I would never had said] they are a monkey."

She also stressed again her being on Ambien was an explanation for the tweets...not an excuse.

"I lost everything, and I regretted it before I lost everything. And I said to God, 'I am willing to accept whatever consequences this brings because I know I've done wrong. I'm going to accept what the consequences are,' and I do, and I have."
