The book is based on the only surviving transcript of one of Abraham Lincoln's last trials and displays his work as a lawyer pre-White House days.
Abrams also dove into Lincoln's personal life; his faltering marriage...PTSD from the Black Hawk War as well as the letters behind why he was willing to risk every thing for his last trial.
