The LAPD released body camera footage of a fatal incident back in May between officers and a suspected burglar.
The video is edited and narrated by Commander Alan Hamilton as the incident unfolds...beginning with a 911 call reporting a possible prowler.
The video shows officers approaching the suspect, Jose Chavez, asking him if he needed medical attention.
They ask him to go home and when he doesn't they request back up and for Chavez to relax.
Many scuffles and threats later, Chavez is on the ground and handcuffed and that's when officers notice his breathing is becoming labored and eventually stopped.
He is taken to a hospital where he later died.
