Suspect Dies After Attacking Stranger At Burger King

A suspect is now dead after attacking a stranger at a Burger King this morning.

Shortly after 11 a.m., police received a call from the fast food restaurant in Burbank about an assault with a deadly weapon.

"All of the sudden, a man starts stabbing my friend," said Paul Liotopoulis who was having lunch with a group of friends. "He was yelling, screaming. I was just minding my own business. I can't believe it."

The victim, a man in his 70's, was eating when the suspect reportedly entered the restaurant with a knife and began stabbing him in the face.

"We come here just to kill the time every day. This guy, I don't know what the hell happened to him today. It was nuts. He made no sense."

During the stabbing, another customer in the restaurant intervened and tried to stop the attack.

"He was strong enough to hold the guy down. Thank God for him. Otherwise, he was going to kill everybody."

The victim, as well as the suspect, were injured and sent to the hospital in critical condition.

According to authorities, the suspect later died of his injuries.

Police believe the stabbing was "completely random and unprovoked."
