A Los Gatos emergency room doctor is suspended after a video surfaced showing her berating a patient seeking treatment for an anxiety attack. Twenty-year-old Samuel Bardwell was rushed to El Camino Hospital by his father after suffering a severe anxiety attack and passing out during a West Valley College basketball practice.
Dr. Beth Keegstra arrived to treat Bardwell and can be seen on the video pulling on his arms and accusing the six-foot-nine patient of seeking treatment to get drugs. Bardwell's father captured the abuse on his cell phone and posted the video to Facebook, where it has been viewed over four-million times.
El Camino Hospital CEO Dan Wood says the 57-year-old doctor has been suspended from her duties at all hospital-run facilities.
