The Department of Homeland Security released a document given to parents who are arrested and separated from their children at the US-Mexico border.
The handout, called “Next Steps for Families,” explains in English and Spanish in four steps what is ahead for detained immigrants with children.
It also gives them information for three "actions" for helping the parents later locate their children after being separated.
