Electricity Restored After Car Knocks Down Fire Hydrant

Electricity is restored in a Los Angeles neighborhood after a car knocked down a power pole and a fire hydrant.  DWP officials say more than 2,000 customers in Valley Village were affected overnight, and the power was turned back on at about 7:00 a.m.

Police continue to search for the driver who caused the crash on Magnolia Boulevard just before midnight.  The car flipped over, landed on the roof of another vehicle and burst into flames.  Officers say the suspect was last seen running down Corteen Place and is believed to be hurt, but no other injuries were reported.
