A Welsh man will be spending the next eight months in prison after he set his wife's car on fire following an argument over his driving. Joshua Miller and his wife Sarah were driving home when she told him to slow down. He refused and she demanded to be let out of the car. Joshua left her on the side of the road, without a phone or any money. He then drove the car a little further before parking it with the intention of destroying it. A person walking by with their dog heard him revving the engine and "could smell the clutch burning," according to prosecutors.
The car then burst into flames, totaling the vehicle and leaving Sarah without a way to take her two young children to school. She said that since the incident she filed for divorce and lives in fear that "if Joshua is drunk" he might "do something stupid or dangerous."
Miller pleaded guilty to one charge of arson and driving without a full license or insurance. He was sentenced to eight months in jail and will be banned from driving for 10 months and a day.
