Roseanne Blames Ambien For Racist Tweet

Tuesday (May 29) was definitely a head-spinning day on social media after Roseanne Barr tweeted a racist tweet about Former President Barack Obama aide Valerie Jarrett

She called Jarrett the product of "Muslim Brotherhood" and the "Planet of the Apes." After Barr posted this tweet, countless people on social media called for ABC to cancel her "Roseanne" sitcom, which ABC agreed to do. “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” said ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey in a statement

More fallout for Barr continued after ABC's move because the comedian's talent agency, ICM Partners, dropped her as a client. "We are all greatly distressed by the disgraceful and unacceptable tweet from Roseanne Barr this morning,” ICM Partners said in a statement yesterday. “What she wrote is antithetical to our core values, both as individuals and as an agency. Consequently, we have notified her that we will not represent her. Effective immediately, Roseanne Barr is no longer a client.”

Since the cancellation of "Roseanne" and being dropped from ICM Partners, Barr tweeted that the sleeping drug Ambien was to blame for her terrible tweet. No, we're not making this up. Take a look at screenshots of those messages below.
